Preview allows you to preview the content of a message and can be very helpful when you have a message with personalization (i.e. data tags, dynamic content, custom data). With preview, you can preview content from a specific test user's perspective, or with example custom data.

Using Preview

To preview your message's content:

1. Navigate to test & preview in your message editor
2. Select the test user you want to preview the message as
   1. Tip: You can edit the data of the test user to try out other personalized content. For example, if you use the tag {{name}} in your message's content, when you've selected your test user, you can edit the tag for the test user to be "name" : "George".
3. If your message includes custom data (only available for templates sent through the API), you can preview the custom data by adding an example of the JSON object you may pass through as custom data to your template. Add multiple custom data objects so you can preview many scenarios for the data you'll pass through.
